Domestic Heroes are a series of repaired readymades done in collaboration with Ismael Leal (1933, PT).
"Mr Ismael Leal finds pleasure in mending things. Things that most of us doom as useless, worthless remains of their previous selves. (…) He then passes them on to artist duo LealVeileby who provide for them and give them new lives. Meticulously crafted boxes, colour and texture coordinated fabrics, strings and tags. (…) The result is a visually irresistible sanctuary that resists the rubbish of hyper-commercialism."
